Our Etsy Holiday Gift Guide for the Couple-to-Be!

The holidays are coming!

As you all know, I am fresh off my own wedding planning journey and still supporting many of you in yours. It goes unsaid that there are many costs associated with your big day, so I thought it could be helpful to put together a list of items that you could add to your holiday wish list or registry. Etsy was such a great resource for me throughout the planning and design process. Below are a few items that either I used for my own wedding or in some of yours!

invitation calligraphy

Calligraphy

I wanted a fun, modern version of calligraphy so I worked with The Better Letter Co to customize the addressing on my Gus & Ruby invitations. Whether it’s your save-the-date or actual invitations, I think this adds a special touch to snail mail.

DIRECTIONAL SIGNAGE

Many couples host their weddings at a venue guests have not been before - that’s the fun of it right?! We always find that some directional signage is extremely helpful since we can’t be everywhere at once. Whether it’s guiding guests to the dancing or the bathrooms, we’re a fan of over communication.

GUEST BOOKS

I hear a lot of couples say they don’t want a guest book, but I think it’s important to consider all of your options! I love this idea from Catch this Moment - a beautiful book to keep all of the “well wishes” given to you by guests. Not only does this allow you to make some long-lasting memories, it also is something fun for your guests to interact with when they need to take a breather from the dance floor!

agate place cards

PLACE CARDS

We think assigned seating is important at weddings. Mostly because it allows us to add another fun design element to the guest tables. If you don’t want to splurge on getting something like these agate slices for every guests, you can just get them for the head table as a nice touch for the bridal party. We used these at our very first wedding back in 2016!

gauze table runner

table runners

We are seeing cheesecloth table runners be all the rage for next year. We love how they give a wooden farm table a romantic and easy look. We also love that they can make for a great picture backdrop!

wedding rings

WEDDING RINGS

These are kind of an important piece of the puzzle, right? I had a custom gold band made by Nell to match my engagement ring. Fun fact - she recently added black diamonds to the band after I came back from my honeymoon.

PHOTO BACKDROPS

Since purchasing this circular mesh grid, we have used this piece in many different ways! As you can see here, it was a fun photo backdrop for guests. We have also used it to clip escort cards to or even polaroid pictures.

card+box

CARD BOX

I’m pretty much obsessed with everything in this shop, but if I had to pick one thing it’s this custom card box. This is a detail many people forget - you need something to hold all of the generous gifts your guests bring to you. We love this one because it’s also a fun piece of decor that can double as a memory box for your special day.
